Documentary Storytelling Photographer with a yearning for Adventure.

2024 is the year I am really focusing on the projects that fulfill my heart. This is my 2nd year in business, and last year showed me that I adore working with families, which couldn’t make more sense because I am a mother of two and absolutely love documenting the details that pass so quickly and love getting to encourage families to let loose and let the kids be kids at their sessions. This time goes by so fast and who better to capture moments with your family and someone who is growing one of their own!

I made the decision last year to dive into birth photography. Back in 2019 when I had my first daughter is when my interest was spiked, by another local birth photographer. I had (still am if I’m being honest!) been considering Doula certification, and then I fell pregnant with my son. My first experience with an induction made me realize I wanted a more natural, hands off labor so I did my research on the birth center and ended up having a water birth there in 2021. I am absolutely obsessed with all things birth, and it is something that has forever spoken to me. I love being invited into families birthing spaces to capture such intimate memories for them. I myself missed out on birth photography with my two pregnancies, but will be for sure getting the moment captured with my third!

Summer 2023 I got to experience many Weddings, and got to see for myself which parts of industry I love, and which I could step away from. I absolutely love the intimate, natural shooting style for a Wedding. Watching the rush and chaos that can be a Wedding day when trying to fit to such a straight timeline for photos and family events can be so disheartening. Especially when I have seen how peaceful and relaxing, smaller, intimate ceremonies such as elopements or backyard receptions can be. So many people think their wedding day has to be this big money spending day… when you can truly pick a place you wanted to adventure for as long as you can remember, pay a permit fee, find an officiant, and just go!

So for 2024, I will still be offering multiple kinds of sessions, but my main focus will be families, birth stories, and elopements. As those are the things that truly fill my cup and fuel my creativity.
